The Teerenpeli Brewery & Distillery has produced Whisky Cube maturation cubes for Teerenpeli bars in Oulu, Tampere and Kuopio. Whisky Cube’s selected oak casks are used to mature Single Malt whisky, and the casks and the maturation environment result in a completely unique whisky. The double-distilled new make spirit is made from malted barley and the pure groundwater of the Salpausselkä region, which is said to be the best in the world. Whisky Cube Single Malt will be sold in shares, each of which includes 12 bottles with a volume of 0.5 litres per bottle and the share owner’s signature. The first Whisky Cube project was carried out in Oulu, where whisky matured since 2019 was bottled in late 2024. The second Whisky Cube project was in Tampere, where the whisky is ready to be bottled in late 2025.
Kuopio Single Malt whisky is matured in selected oak casks originally used for sherry and filled with 63.5% ABV peated new make spirit distilled in Lahti.
The casks are matured in a Whisky Cube in alcohol tax free storages in Teerenpeli Kuopio. The humidity of the Whisky Cube will be controlled to avoid evaporation and to keep the so-called angels’ share low. Whisky Cube Single Malt is allowed to mature in oak casks for 4 years, after which the casks in the Cube are emptied and bottled.
You can buy one or more shares of the whisky maturing in the Whisky Cube Kuopio. The share is paid in two instalments, the first being the reservation fee and the second being the final payment.
There will be small yearly increases in the price of the share, as the maturing process proceeds and the value of the whisky increases. The earlier you buy your share of the Whisky Cube, the lower the price is. The second instalment is determined by the current alcohol tax rate.
After the whisky has matured in the Whisky Cube Kuopio for 4 years, all of the casks will be emptied and bottled at once in autumn 2028. The strength of the whisky at bottling is around 43%. After bottling, the bottles are numbered and labelled with the KUOPIO Single Malt label. You need to have the reservation certificate and payment receipts to get your whisky bottles delivered on an agreed meeting.
By filling in this form, I commit to purchasing a share of Teerenpeli Kuopio Whisky Cube Single Malt Whisky. The share is paid in two instalments, the first being the reservation fee and the second (approx. €260) being the final payment. Ownership of the share is transferred to the buyer only after both instalments have been paid in full. By filling in this form, I join Teerenpeli’s loyalty programme. Prices are valid until 1 October 2026 or until the bottling. The final amount of the second payment is determined by the current alcohol and value added tax rates and handling costs at the collection point.
A personalised nameplate will be attached to the board at the Whisky Cube. We use your first and last name as default but you also have the opportunity to personalise the plate. For example, if you are a group of friends, you can use a name that you choose. Please note that we don’t approve names that are too long or inappropriate.
