Rock’n’Swing Dances at Teerenpeli!

At the classes organized by the Kuopio dance association Dance Flow, participants practice Lindy Hop and Boogie Woogie, and occasionally other rock’n’swing dances like Collegiate Shag, Balboa, or Rockabilly.

Lindy Hop, Collegiate Shag, and Balboa are popular dances from a hundred years ago, originating in the United States during the 1920s to 1940s. They are danced to old jazz, or swing music. The roots of Boogie Woogie and Rockabilly dances are in the 1950s, with rock’n’roll and rhythm’n’blues playing as the music.

Dance Flow’s and Teerenpeli’s dance evenings offer a joyful, relaxed, and wild atmosphere straight from the 1920s to the 1950s!
