Formed in 2016, Tuomas Paukku Scription represents a strong and unique vision in contemporary Finnish jazz. This masterful quartet performs the original and intensely atmospheric music composed by its leader, guitarist Tuomas Paukku, with an undeniable passion.

The band’s style is rooted in modern jazz impressionism and post-bop, but it continually finds new nuances and perspectives from the outer edges of jazz expression. Paukku’s boundless musical curiosity is evident in his main project, which is both rich in tone and explosively vibrant. The music of Scription, with its starkly beautiful atmospheres and cyclical, evolving moods, has captivated music lovers across all genres.
